Babak Samimi, MD
Dr. Babak Samimi began his undergraduate studies at UCLA, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psycho-Biology and graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He continued his graduate studies at the UCLA School of Medicine and graduated with Honors in Surgery. He then successfully completed his internship and residency at the University of Southern California (USC), where he specialized in Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Samimi has published multiple peer-reviewed papers and has presented his research on numerous occasions. He is actively involved in academics through his role as Clinical Instructor of Orthopaedic Surgery for residents at the USC Department of Orthopaedic Surgery; he teaches residents innovative and cutting-edge techniques in both Orthopaedic Surgery and sports medicine.
As an Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr. Samimi’s passion is to restore his patient’s joints, allowing them to return to their previous activity level, regardless of age. Dr. Samimi is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America, Orthopaedic Trauma Association, and California Orthopaedic Association.
